Health & COVID Protocols at Camp
At West End House Girls Camp, the health and safety of our campers, staff, and families remain a top priority. We are committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment where everyone can thrive.
Before Arrival
We encourage all campers, both children and adults, to test for COVID-19 before arriving at camp. While testing is not mandatory, it is a helpful tool in protecting the health of our full community.
If your camper is feeling unwell for any reason, or if anyone in your household has had a known exposure to a contagious illness (including COVID-19, flu, strep, RSV, etc.) within a few days of the session start:
Please contact our camp nurse.
We will work with you to reschedule your camper’s arrival once they are cleared and safe to join the community.
In some cases, a short delay in arrival helps prevent the spread of illness and supports a smooth and healthy transition into camp life.
If a Camper Becomes Sick at Camp
If a camper shows symptoms of a contagious illness while at camp:
Parents/guardians will be contacted and are required to pick up their camper within 12 hours.
The camper will be comfortably isolated from the community and cared for by our medical staff until they are picked up.
We appreciate your partnership and shared responsibility in keeping camp safe and healthy for everyone. Please reach out to us with any questions or to speak directly with our nurse at 207-625-8221 or via email at Clinic@wehgirlscamp.org.
Together, we can create a joyful, healthy summer for all.
